I love waking up in a morning looking forward to the day ahead. I love getting the chance to be creative, teach and have fun whilst sharing my love of learning with my students as I continue to learn and grow myself. I love to inspire people of all ages to reach their potential, to be enthusiastic and creative in their thinking and to see the value of hard work and determination. To see the moment when a student understands a concept for the first time or make connections between what we learn and what they know, gives me satisfaction each and every day. That satisfaction is why I love to teach.

Back in high school, I signed up for a year-long program that allowed me to spend a few hours every day as a kindergarten teacher’s assistant. Who knew that that decision would forever change my life for the better. It was in that classroom where I discovered my love of teaching. I have a clear memory of sitting with the kids on the carpet, playing with blocks while teaching them about shapes, and thinking that I could do this forever. I feel fortunate that over 20 years later, I still feel that same passion I felt on the carpet in my first kindergarten class.
