Jamie and Paul are dedicated educators who are looking for a school that shares their prioritization of students, values professional development of faculty and has a clear vision for the future.
Jamie has been teaching at the elementary level for 15 years. After teaching Grade 4 in her home state of California, she decided to experience teaching overseas. She spent two years teaching Grade 4 at Munich International School, before choosing Asia as the next continent to venture to. She's been teaching Grade 5 at Singapore American School since 2004. She has loved everything about teaching kids at the elementary level from their creative minds to their kind-hearted personalities.
Paul has recently qualified as a Secondary Social Studies teacher after spending seventeen years in the corporate world. He has coached rugby for five years, and his love of working with his young teams inspired the change of career. During his studies, he rediscovered his love of history and it’s relevance to current events in the modern world. Having impressed administration during his internship there and with the help of his strong sports background, he secured a job at the Singapore American School teaching PE to Kindergarten through Grade 5.
Their newfound mobility as a teaching couple has inspired Jamie and Paul to spread their wings and seek a new challenge in a new country.
